We're heading down to he Colorado River near Parker this winter for about four months. We were there for two weeks last year and the water is terrible. I have been looking for a good whole house filter system for our trailer and would like to have an exterior system because of space restrictions in our 26 TRW. Anyone have any recommendations? Reverse osmosis would be great but can't find an exterior system. Thanks

I went to Lowe's and bought a regular sized cannister and a sediment filter. Later I added a blue filter I bought at WalMart. Works for me but if I were to do it over again, I'd buy two jumbo cannisters put a sediment filter in one and a better filter in the other. Easy to attach them by cutting the hose and using hose clamps.

If you want to buy a complete system, here is an excellent online store........

we get our filters from the rfwaterfilterstore.

Have always used 2 filters -- a sediment filter fololwed by a KDF style filter.

Just be sure to replace the filters on a regular basis.

Also, if you don't mind more frequest changes, get a small micron sediment filter to keep more of the stuff out.

BTW, look at the GPM flow as cheaper filters will have either a highter micron rating or a lower flow rate. Too low a flow rate and you won't get much water.

We look for 3-4 GPM.
