Water pump problem

I turn on the pump switch and the pump cycles on and off very quickly. Iíve check for leaks and loose connections- found none. Is there a setting on the surflow pump that I need to adjust? Any comments? Thanks in advance

You may have a piece of crud that has gotten into the pump and prevents it from maintaining pressure. That can be removed and cleaned.
