Water softner placement relative to filters

I currently have a sediment filter as first thing inline prior to water going into the fresh water tank
Coming out of the tank I have a carbon block KDF filter prior to the water going to various appliances and faucets. It is a whole house filtration system.

I want to add a water softner but I find my self questioning if I should install it before or after the carbon block KDF filter. The reason for my question is my concern that the carbon block filter will clog up quicker from the remaining sodium in the water softner. Or is this a none issue

i didnt have room in the wet bay so i plumbed mine in the basement bay just forward of the wet bay
took a bit of plumbing engineering to make sure i had valves in the right place, but so far it works well

Powsrboatr,
Where would you suggest putting it in the water flow? Before or after my carbon block filter.
I also intend to locate it in the basement compartment next to the wet bay.

Most manufacturers recommend a particulate filter before the water softener so you don't clog the softener up with sediment, but I have yet to see any recommendations about needing a carbon filter for the water softener itself.

I have our water softener after the sediment filter and before the carbon filter.

Your filters will remove rocks and bugs, which of course you don't want in the softener so put the filters first.

Just finished hooking the water softner into the plumbing and installed it after the sediment filter and before my carbon block filter. We'll see how that setup works. If the carbon block filter clogs to fast I will change it and put both filters before the water softner. Thanks for the feedback
