Weather Pro Awning 9100 Windsensor Issues

I have the subject awning and have the ongoing problem of the windsensor not working correctly. It will often retract with no wind at all and then not retract with a much sustained wind no matter what speed setting you have it set to. This is the model that has the windsensor at the front end of the awning (2010 and newer), so no need to reply if you have the older roof mounted sensor. I've had 2 new RVs 2010 and 2012 model with the same system and neither worked even close to properly. On both units the control module and windsensor were replaced without any change. I've call Dometic a couple times and they have no service support or anyone who even has knowledge of the system. They simply refer you to the closest dealer.

I'm looking to see if others have had this issue with the same system and if anyone has knowledge of a improvement and/or fix. I don't think I'm asking too much for a auto awning to function somewhat correctly. Thanks for you comments and information. rockin'

PS. I've heard that the Dometic 9500E model (a quite different animal and upscale model) functions very well regarding windsensor operation.

Here's a link to some previous threads on this product which may be helpful. I find that most , including me , find this sensor useless. I have mine turned off.
