What is the popular replacement for Splendide 2000s?
It lasted 15 years, so I can't complain. I even found some new motor brushes for it from RUSSIA last summer, lol. Well, the main motor finally wore out and I've decided to replace it. I am looking at all my options for a W/D combo vented.
P.S. If allowed, I will part it out to those still trying to save theirs...

I do not believe there is a better machine than
another Splendide, which does come vented.

We had the Splendide 2000 in our previous coach. On this coach it has the Splendide 2100XC. We like the 2100XC much more than the oler 2000. The 2100XC is a larger Extra Capacity machine and I feel does a much better job than the 2000 one. A big plus is this one doesn't shake the entire coach like the 2000 one did.

My Splendide 2100xc only worked one time. Because of unforeseen things we only went camping in our new 5th wheel bought in April. I went to winterize it and the XC2100 would not turn on. My RV dealership said I need a new one. We will see how good the warranty is. Splendide wanted me to remove the washing machine and take to a repair place about 40 miles away or pay the repair place a service charge. If I had it to do over I would opt for the Laundry mat.

Based on what you indicated, I'm guessing your 2100XC is slightly less than a year old? - Why did your dealer indicate you needed a new unit?
- What exactly does the 2100XC do or not do?
- Is there 120 volt power actually getting to the unit?
- Any lights come on at all?
- Did the dealer remove the unit and check out the internals when they declared it dead?
- If your 2100XC in installed like mine is, it is a bear to get out. AND gosh darn heavy.
You can stil op to use a laundromat. Its not for me, but a lot of people prefer them.

2100XC
Power was at the plug.
The dealer just told me it was dead and had filled a warranty claim.
When I tried to turn on nothing happened.
This is all I know at this time. I don't like the laundry mat either but at the price and inconvenience, I wish I had gone another way. But, what is done is done and I hope I get another machine without any problems. There are so many restrictions in warranties now, only time will tell. I know the service tech was no help.

edfgrf, I was wondering how the splendide warranty worked? I was going to call them before I bought anything. If they do not cover removing the unit for service or a traveling tech. to come to you, then I feel the warranty is basically useless. How would anyone feel that in order to get warranty on your car, you would have to remove the engine and take it to a dealer? Please do let us know of your outcome.
Before I read these last post, I had already decided not to replace the 2000s. My concern was a situation like yours, the cost $$$$ and the wrinkles!
I am a retired field tech. If the tech that declared your unit dead without without troubleshooting the components with a meter from inside the machine, he might as well be a landscaper. I would be interested in the honesty of that warranty claim. Don't sign it if it's not accurate. You don't want to get sucked in to a fraud claim because of a dishonest or lazy tech.

Ya gotta remember, if it is like mine, it is almost impossible to work on the Splendide without removing it from the built in cabinet. Splendide only sold a washer/dryer to the RV manufacturer who is then responsible for installing it in the RV.
There is probably a zillion ways to install these things, and I don't blame Splendide for not wanting to tackle the removal and installation of the repaired unit. If like mine, there a few hidden screws holding on a molding and a impossible small space to get it out, turned and slid into a into a area where I could work on it. That sucker weighs 148 pounds, but to be honest when I was moving it in and out of its compartment it felt like 500 pounds! If you still have RV manufacturer warranty, I would then go to the manufacturer for the removal and install.
Years ago, we plugged into a campground power post that had a 'open neutral' and that sent about 200 volts into the coach cooking a tad over $1000 in parts alone. The Splendide was a large chunk of that money. It fried the main circuit board, and the surge protector (looks like a large capacitor) filling the coach with a horrible smelling smoke. Funny part was the washer was not even on.
If this problem was mine, I would check...double check to make sure power is actually getting to the machine. Make sure when you attempt to turn on the machine the power is still available (could be a circuit breaker or a wire connection making a poor connection and dropping voltage when the machine it turned on. Since you haven't used the RV for a while, it could even be a mouse got in there and damaged wiring.
Keep your chin up and tackle this problem. Hopefully it will be the only problem you have with your new RV.

Download the link for the manual and it will tell you about the warranty. If I had known what it says I would have stayed away from it. I am also retired and would not want to tackle removing it. I will keep everyone posted on how things turn out.
the days of washers and dryers lasting 15-20 years are over. who has had one come close to lasting that long at home? This is a throw-away society. Replace rather than fix.

Our washer/dryer at home were installed in same year as the house was built, 2007. That makes them 12+ years old. I did just had a problem when the drain hose cracked in the washer. I replaced it for $12. A service tech quoted me $300 to come to the house and fix it!
Refrigerator at home is the same age. Recently I replaced the door seals on the three doors. That was another 'can do' job for this retired 70+ year old codger.
Our Splendide is 13+ years old. Besides the electrical blowouts when the motorhome was connected to a faulty campground electrical supply, the only thing I have had to replace was a door hinge about 6 years ago. I did that while on the road.
These appliances are repairable especially with help from manufacturer technicians and You-Tube videos. I take MANY pictures of each step just so I can get them back together without extra parts laying on the floor!
I still feel like the problem with yours is going to be simple. It worked once, then suddenly it won't turn on. Here is a copy of the troubling shooting section for a machine that won't power up:
