Question what oil for a gen

hi all i have been rving for years, and iam new to irv2. also i am new to gen on motorhomes. what i would like to know hwat iol do i use in 1989 onan 6.5 gen? all help would be wonderful. thanks len

There should be a label on your gen to state what type to use. Also you could find information on your gen's web site.
Most do use 30w sae
