We cannot get the door alarm to stop blinking! We have a whirlpool Residential French door type model that, apparently, wasn't closed securely when we unloaded food yesterday. The refrigerator is cooling properly, however everything in the freezer is thawed...suspect that was the drawer left open just enough to trigger the alarm! ....and it was packed full of frozen food!

We have made sure nothing is preventing any of the doors from properly closing now. We've unplugged rig completely, shut down the inverter so the fridge was completely shut off, then powered back up and the unit started back up, however the "door alarm" indicator still blinks and the alarm sounds every 5 minutes or so.

Does anyone know if we should try something else before calling a service technician?

Push the door alarm indicator button and hold it down for 5 seconds. That should turn the alarm off.
