White slide on frig fin that hold thermister

Could it make a difference in cooling if the white slide is on the second fin from the wall (instead of the first fin)? Temp is 46 instead of 40.

More importantly, where is the slide located ON the fin. The higher it's positioned, the cooler the frig will be. We found that during travel the slide would vibrate to a lower position on the fin. We solved this issue be using a small pinch type office "clamp" to secure the slide to the upper portion of the fin and the frig now stays at a proper temp all the time.
