Wiring a 12V Fuel Switch for Genset

I bought a 12V fuel on/off switch, Advanced Fuel Components, Inc model AFC 151. I want to be able to turn the fuel supply to the genset off when it's running to drain the carb, and on when I want to start the genset, but I want to be able to do this from the driver's seat.

The switch has two electrical leads, both black. No instructions provided. I believe to wire this in, I'll come from 12v source to switch, from switch to one valve wire, other valve wire goes to ground. Which wire on the fuel switch is which shouldn't matter. I'll have 12 volts flowing to it or not based on switch position.

Am I correct?

Yes, you are correct. It shouldn't matter which wire goes to ground. Just to be sure, use your multimeter and continuity check each wire to the case of the valve. If you get continuity between a wire and the case, use that one for the ground wire.
