I'm troubleshooting a high voltage short that snaps one of my 20amp circuits. Unfortunately, this circuit also supplies my fridge and transformer.

- still shorting with fridge unplugged
- still shorting with transformer unplugged
- hot water heater has electronic ignition, but no 110 wires. (propane only).
- GFI circuit had rusty plugin, but fixed and GFI is now happy, (separate circuit from current problem)

Any ideas would be most helpful. Since Weekend Warrior is no longer, I'm on my own.

Do you have another GFI outlet and a outside outlet feeding off of it.
Moisture will cause all kinds of problems for GFI's.

Thanks for checking in. No other GFI. Problem is solved. There was a short in a 110 line from a plug receptacle on one side of the bedroom, to another on the other side.
A simple problem, but hard to troubleshoot without a wiring diagram.
