Wiring fan in Norcold N1095

I have a bad frost build-up on the fins and want to wire a fan which will clamp on the fins. Can anyone tell me if a constant 12v source can be obtained from this incoming wiring harness and how to wire it?

Gary, your's is different since my fridge is a Norcold 1200, but I was able to pick up a constant 12VDC source at the connector going to the light at the top. Just use a voltmeter to check it. If you're not sure about the ground, you can probably use the fins as a ground point. You'll have to have someone hold the door switches closed that turn on the light so you can find the 12VDC with the light off.

Does yours not have a light inside that comes on when you open the door?

Mine has a light, but no switch onthe door. I guess the light is turned off by another mechanism.

There's gotta be some kind of switch there! It may be a magnetic switch behind the plastic that you can't see.
