Hi guys, I am a new member and have a problem with my Onan generator out of 1974 Dodge c class motorhome. It runs well but does not have any ac voltage output. I had a minor fire on the circuit board and want to rebuild it. I know you can buy them but I have afriend who can repair it if I can find a schematic. The gen is emerald 1 series A 2 cylinder 4 cycle 4 KW. Model is 4.0 BGE 1P26100E. I have searched the internet but cannot find wiring diagram. I have the original books for the gen but they do not give schematic and cummins does not help. Maybe someone out there can help with this.

Thanks Peter

Unit wiring diagram is shown on pdf page 21 of the installation manual: http://www.cumminsonan.com/www/pdf/manuals/965-0630.pdf Reasonbly decent schematic on pdf page 67.

Refer to pdf pages 65-71 (Section 7) of Service manual (http://www.cumminsonan.com/www/pdf/manuals/965-0530.pdf) for Control board operation and functions.

Looks like Dave got the info you need
I have the original printed documentation
That genset is FAR superior to the "New" one installed in my 2009 RV
The new POC 4Kw has a splash oil system which means it does not even have a oil filter, single cylinder and junk fuel pump
Sure wish I kept the one you have

Thanks again,
After much searching around and no real luck from Onan-Cummings or its dealers I was not able to come up with a schematic for the circuit board. I have the installation manual and service manuals but they do not show this; they do show the wiring of the gen. I took the circuit board to a friend who rebuilds circuit boards and he checked the rather simple board and found I had burned out one of the relays. He replaced the relay with a new one free and I was then able to put it back in the gen. The gen now puts out steady 110-120 volts and seems to work perfectly. This was a cheap easy fix so do not buy quickly as these boards can be fixed. I did find a company in USA called Colburn Electric who specializes in rebuilding boards and are reasonable. PHone--618-997-9015.
