xantrax

My 04 newmar dutchstar came with a Xantrax rv2500 charger/inverter. All was well until I started to get a battery overheat code. Three red lights flashing and alarm going off. My upcomming trip in jeopardy I flew into check the web mode. I had a guy come out did quick dianosis and said I had a fried mother board. Money to take out, put in and replace.

I then called one of three xantrax certified mecks who quoted $150 to diagnose, $700 for mother board and shipping and still no guarantee it would work.

Xantrax doesnt have parts for this discontinued model and so forth. Next, I called camping world who informed me that I would have to upgrade to the newer level which would entail new cat 5 cable new dash in the rv and $2500 for new charger/inverter. Wow!!

Long story short. I found Steve who is an authorized xantrax teck. $650.00 and I'm happy as can be. whew!! He also sent pictures of the unit working and a stress test.
All systems are a go and the vacation is back on. I'm not looking forward to putting it back in this weekend but I took great pictures when I was taking it out.

I was really impressed with Steve, so I thought I would pass his info along.

Steve Xantrax repair. 941 748 1941.

Regards,
Josh

Another fine job quote from CW - just kidding as it seems to be the norm with them. Surprised they were that low and didn't want to sell you a different coach to fix the problem. Just venting as they could be a great company - done now.
