Xantrex AGS Wiring

I've got a Xantrex RV2512GS inverter with a RC/GS remote panel that I've been trying to setup to automatically start the generator when batteries are to a certain level with absolutely no joy. Finally figured out that the generator isn't connected to inverter AGS controls!

Need a sanity check here - it looks like a simple 18 gauge 4 conductor wire is all I need to run from the inverter to the generator (Onan HDKAJ 7.5kw). I have the pinouts for the GENSET Connector plug (P8) so I should be able to just tap into the A for GND, C for Start, E for Stop, and F for Switched B+ (run). What am I missing?

I think you are forgetting pins 3 and 4 to the house batteries. I just wired a stand alone AGS and works great. Hopefully the attachment sends also.

Thanks for that info. I need to study that a bit and see if the Xantrex requirements are the same as the Magnum. This was timely as I was going to try this today or tomorrow hopefully.
