When I operate the Remote Panel to activate the Inverter, the Inverter Light starts flashing as well as the Full Battery Amber Light and the Display Window says SEARCHING. So the inverter does not produce AC power although the meter indicate that the batteries are fully charged. There is no error message and no error light ON.
Do anyone have a Trouble Shooting Chart or know what could be wrong?
Thanks,

What model of Xantrex? There are several and they have different remotes and different error status.
Do you have the owner manual for the inverter and the remote (usually separate)? There should be some info in there on what the status lights mean. If you don't have it, you can download it here:
Xantrex Technology Inc. - Support
At a guess, I would say that Searching means the remote has lost contact with the inverter. Check the wiring between (may be phone cable type) and then reset the remote.

Gary,
Thanks for your quick reply.
The Inverter Model is RV2012 and the Remote is RC7.
I have not used the Inverter in the last 6 months since I arrived last fall in the Rio Grande Valley (TX) for the winter. It was working fine before that. Like you suggested about loss of communication between the Inverter and the Remote, I suspected that I had possibly disconnected something when I loaded the MH Storage Bins for return trip to Canada. I won't be able to confirm this until I unload the MH sometimes toward the end of next week.
If you know of something else that I should check, please let me know.
Regards,

Is the switch on the inverter itself turned ON? Will not invert unless it is ON in addition to the control panel operation.

Unplug data cable for a minute and then reconnect. IF this does not correct the problem. Disconnect battery cable for a minute and then reconnect. Good luck and keep us posted.

I'd check where Rex and Mike suggested:
(1) data cable at inverter end and behind the remote as well
(2) Inverter switch on at inverter.
(3) Also check the indicator light on the inverter to see if it is signaling any problems. The code meanings for the light should be printed right on the face of the RV2012 (I have an RV2512, so yours is nearly identical to mine)

The weather has not been very good recently in my area (Ottawa, ON) so I had to delay the unloading of the MH which in turn prevented me until this morning from tackling my problem with the inverter.
The suggestion to go to the Xantrex Support web site was really good. Xantrex has an interactive troubleshooting program to help you pin point where the problem is. Here is the link to that program: Xantrex Technology Inc. - Troubleshooting
I started the program with the fault: "The Inverter is not working" which took me to the step of: "Checking the Inverter Status". In my case it was a green flashing light which indicated that the inverter was looking for a load. The program suggested to take the Remote Control RC7 out of Search Mode. The RC7 was set to 40W which I reset to "Defeat". The Green Status on the RC7 changed from Searching to Inverting. However, no AC power was flowing through the lines. The program suggested to do a DC Reset which is done by removing the 12 volts positive lead from the inverter for 30 seconds and reinstalling the lead. Upon switching the RC7 to ON, a solid green light came up for the Inverter and AC power was going through the lines. Everything is now working as it should.
Thank you all your help and suggestions.
Regards,
