We decided that after 3 control boxes, we are having the big awning changed to manual when we get to FL next year. Today DH put the door awning out. I believe it is called an Oasis. When he went to retract it, it came back in then very quickly went back out by itself. Won't do anything now, just makes sound like the teeth are stripped on the motor or something. Has anyone had any problems with their door awning? Sounds as if this one will bccome a manual also.

Carl and Bea ...

I had difficulty with my over the door awning ... I had to have the motor replaced

The awning has to be removed in order to replace the motor ... removal of the awning is a two person job using ladders ... or a one person job with scaffolding ...

Thx Ski, the motor is turning, Carl hopes it is something simple like a sheared pin. We will tackle it if it ever warms up here.

My Oasis door awning was replaced 3 times in seven yrs. There are numerous posts on this do a search for solutions. Best bet is replace it with a manual door awning I have never seen a manual one fail.
