Whether you just use 2 meters, HF or only CB, the motorhome or RV poses many problems with installing radio equipment. Cable location, power wiring, antenna location and grounding are sometimes difficult. But because many of us like to use our amateur radio equipment in the motorhome we get'er done somehow.

Some folks operate while in route, but most RV'n hams I know, only operate after arrival or at the end of the day. However, some of us like to listen to the chatter that is on 40 meters or even 20 meters while traveling.

So what antenna do you use, where is it mounted? Do any of you run a "screwdriver antenna" ??

Did your operation interfere with the RV electronics or did the RV electronics interfere with your radio?

What troubles did you have and how did you solve them?
How about posting a photo?

I'd like to know this too. I'll have my class c hopefully late next week and will need to install a dual band antenna with my Icom 2720 and my atas 120 for use with my yaesu ft897d. I'll probably go ahead and put a CB in while i'm at it.
