I have heard that channel 13 is the channel guarded (monitored) by RV'rs, yet in all my travels, I have only gotten 1 RV to come up on channel 13. So, am I wrong?

Monitoring channel 19 may give me some traffic info, but I get to learn more potty mouth than I care to hear.

Ch 13 has been an RV channel of sorts for a number of years. I know of many RV'ers who monitor 13, but they will tell you not much traffic is heard.

On the orther hand I find when on I-81 or I-95 going to or from Florida there is some RV chatter on 13.

I always monitor 13, but I will switch to 19 if I see a traffic slow down, etc..
