Does anyone have one and what do you think, or what problems have you had? Also tricks, suggestions, or any other operating things that I should know.

Tom, I've had a 746Pro for a couple of years now and like it very much. It is my home station and I have had zero problems.
I normally run a Heil GM-5 on the wide setting but have run the Heil-5 cartridge as well as a Heil ICM ProSet and get good audio reports.
There's a lot of adjustments you can make to suit your needs and preferences so keep the owners manual handy for a while.

Thanks for the input guys. Ken, I checked there but it is a mixed bag due to some of the problems linked to it. Hopefully most have been fixed by now. Mine should be here in time for Christmas.
