KE5NCP standing by.

Its about time, they put it up this afternoon. On top of that someone entered the address wrong so I had to go in and submit a change to get that corrected.

Thanks Bill, its been a real pain trying to figure out what I wanted to do for radio's and antenna's. Got a Yaesu 857D to use both base and mobile but the antenna part is the biggest issue, have 2/70 taken care of but the HF side for base is killing me. Thought I'd just put up a wire but my tree's aren't tall enough for most things I'm seeing, so I'm back to the drawing board for now.

Ok, I went with the RadioWavz 80 windom for base, now I just have to figure out how to mount it. What a ball of fun. I thought about making my own but after looking at the cost and all, figured it was cheaper in the long run just buying.

Congrats on your upgrade. I would suggest to you that you check into the ARRL website and see some of the articles and methods there on installing ant's in limited space environments. Might even want to pick up one of the antenna books available at R&L (we call the candy store in Hamilton OH) or your friendly radio-shack. There is a lot of good info on this subject if you just do a search for it.
Good luck on your effort, every installation is a little different, but education and persistence will payoff. Have fun.

Made my first HF DX contact last night on 20M. fellow was 400 KM east of Moscow. This was on the ground mounted vertical and 100 watts.
