Just got the confirmation back from the state that my new truck tags with the radio call will be sent to the house. Whooo hooooo.

Don't know if it still is the case, but used to be you could have the same call sign numbers on all your vehicles (In Texas). Did that ever pose some questions when they were parked side by side.

Yep, I can get a call plate on the XYL's car and I guess the trailer. I just wanted the tag on the truck.

Do make sure you read the fine print. not that I'm worried but I recall several years ago spending New Year's Even in a park babysitting a small aircraft,, well parts of a small aircraft.

Now this was NOT in a county where I was registered (I was registered in Wayne Co, and on file with Oakland) but the local E.C. when contacted for assistance had declined, So the PD had contacted the EC from a nearby county and he and I were the midnight to 8am shift at the crash site.

(The fine print says you will serve if called)
