After posting a similar question a little over a year ago, I ended up installing a 3' Firestick no-ground plane antenna inside my coach, after reading how another member installed one behind his sofa. The best place I found was the street side wall at floor level, just behind the driver's seat. While this may not pull in a signal as strong as a roof mounted antenna, it works rather well after making some adjustments due to SWR meter readings. I was able to coil the excess cable up under my dash, and hide the cable leading to the antenna along the edge of the carpeting.

My son does woodworking, so he made a nice oak enclosure to hide the antenna and stained it to match the interior cabinets. It looks as if it was something installed by the factory. I can send you an photo if you'd like, just let me know.

Craig
