On another topic... do you like your 2002 Wrangler? We have had a 99 Cherokee 2WD since it was new, as a daily driver/wife's car. I have recently gotten the bug for a real "Jeep" Jeep as an additional run-about vehicle (read toy for Robert)

. I may try and find a non-abused old CJ-7 or go for the comfort of a newer TJ Wrangler (2001-2006). I know the on-road ride of the TJ's is best of the CJ's and YJ's due to the coil springs but an old CJ is temping

. Whatever I get will not be a mudder or off-roader. I know the TJ Wranglers have the same great I-6 fuel injected engine as our Cherokee. You just cant beat that engine for longevity.

Hey would you want to trade the Wrangler for some ham gear?

Can't drive ham gear to work
As for the wrangler, this is my 2nd. Used to be a trail guide for 2 Jeep clubs in the area. Would stick with a '98 or newer, don't expect much in way of gas mileage. I get between 10 -13 on a good day. Of course 4.10 gears and 33" tires don't help.
Mud is your enemy, but off roading is great, as long as there's a legal place nearby.
