Hi,

"CALLING ALL HAMS: No hobby is more sensitive to solar activity and space weather than ham radio. So here is a call to ham radio operators: Is spaceweather.com meeting your needs? We welcome your suggestions to improve our website. Submit ham-friendly ideas here."

I'm not a Ham but I am interested in Astronomy and found this on one of the Astronomy sites I frequent. SpaceWeather.com -- News and information about meteor showers, solar flares, auroras, and near-Earth asteroids Some of you may already know about this site, so forgive me if this is a repeat.

I used to enjoy talking around the world on my 4 watt CB during the Solar Maximun. I even built a 4 element V quad, Wow did that thing ever talk.

Ron

I know the bands have been very .... Varied.. Lately

Oh, I have a "New Toy" Installed Ham Radio Delux on this laptop earlier this week and can now do PSK, MFSK, Olivia, RTTY, SSTV and more.. Hamscope did not do Olivia or SSTV, nor does Digipan (Though each program has features I wish the others had)

So I've been sitting on 14.230 (I think) letting the SSTV decoder....decode.

Ham Radio Deluxe Beta 5.0 and it's included DM780 program is likely the best free Digital software. I love its built in transceiver control, browser, logbooks, DX cluster links and great support via its internet forum.

I never was into the digital side of Ham Radio until I tried this one. Now I am never on SSB. Even with poor conditions I can make world wide contacts on just 25 watts.
