100% solar

I just acquired a 2001 Fleetwood Prowler LS 27F TT. I'm going to set it up permanently as a camp. I want to go 100% solar but I want to be able to run my AC in the summertime. Any ideas on how large a system I will need??? I know I should go with the Lithium batteries.
Thanks.

A Dometic uses about 1750 W. A split-level sufficient for a 27' TT takes about 750 W. You probably need over a 1000 W with strong battery backup. We have around 9 kW-hr of LFP and have run the Dometic for 3.5 hours several times as a combination of solar and battery. We could maintain charge with a split-level air conditioner. The Aussie caravan fora have a lot of discussions on split-level a/cs i.e. Grey Nomands The Grey Nomads Forum
and Caravaner's Forum Caravaners Forum - Index page

There is probably no advantage to LFP if your setting up a permanent camp.

Some folks have had great results with electric fork lift batteries. They weigh a lot and last a long time, but then you just about need a fork lift to move them.
