Can’t wait to hear more after they are delivered and you have a chance to play with them.

Finishing hardware order today and picking up the metal Saturday. I won't be home for a couple weeks to start the rack.

I ordered the same panels last year 450 watts with the 2 the 450 watts worked excellent at quartzsite this year. The panels came well packaged and are very well constructed. Advertisement of the panels are right on .

Plan on using 10 ga wire from panels to controller and 8 ga from controller to batteries. Any comments?[/QUOT I have the same 2 panels with mppt controller 315 A H batters along with 3 k aims inverter. I think the panels for me where the right fit 28x 56 .

As requested I am posting results after solar upgrade from my single 100watt solar panel.
I completed install of 2 new HIGHTEC 200+25 panels and 40amp MPTT Rover controller 4 days ago. Now my 300AH battery bank stays at 100% all day with small outside refrigerator running off battery 24 hours a day along with other items normal usage. Direct TV, fan, lights, ect. Batteries are degrading about 30% durring dark hours and are recharging to 100% within about 2hrs after sun rises on a clear day here in California. I did also keep my 100 watt panel on its separate PWM controller.

Thanks for the update. Glad everything is working good. Do you know what you are getting from the new panels?

RBC2017, what gauge wiring did you use from panels to controller and from controller to bus bar/batteries?

I just installed (2) of the 200W panels but not the +25 style. 40 amp Renogy MPPT controller. I have (4) 6v Duracell batteries I got from Sam's Club. Used the factory installed 10 gauge solar prep wiring from panels to controller. I was getting 19.4v

I think the most important number is what amps people are getting...that will be the best measure of their efficiency.

Sorry I don’t have multimeter with me, and that is the only way I know of to measure actual amps being generated.

If you are using volts to calculate your current (amps), what number are you using for the watts? 400? You might be under estimating what current you are getting especially since you seem to be doing well. I’m just curious to see how much over the 400 watts you might be getting since they are advertised as 200+. [emoji2]

450 watts of solar measured with my Mppt on a cool sunny day I'm getting 9 amps. I expect more amps on a hot sunny day .I'm using number 6 wire for my panels and batteries and 0.2 wire for the inverter.
