If you look at the comments below the video, these batteries are no longer available and if they do come up for sale they are much more expensive. This video created a high demand for a very limited supply...

I bought one of these last year
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free...610017946.html
and one thing to note is that the BMS does not seem to allow it to start the generator on its own...had to aux start with chassis battery.

I bought 7 of these direct from mfg. in China. Took 20 days to make them and 25 days shipping and delivered to my door. Went thru Alibaba.com, they hold the money until I receive and inspect them. Project was complete on 7-9 and so far they work perfect. Under $ 4000 for 1400AH it was worth a try. Meter shows voltage, capacity, temp. Wasn't easy to fit 7

Very nice setup...Is it 7 in parallel? Do you have fuses or breakers between each battery in case one goes bad?

All 7 in parallel, 12v I made buss bars, no fuses for each battery. 400a fuse for each inverter, 150a fuse for house 12v and I put the original 350a inverter fuse on the cable going to the bi directional relay because there was no protection.

Any concerns about so many in parallel? This question is not specific to lithium...I've seen caution on lead acid AGMs too.

Understand potential charging issues with batteries in parallel. However, if all of the batteries are at very similar SOC and are wired in a balanced configuration what are the issues?

If one battery has a dead cell (for whatever reason), the others send current to it.
Admittedly I am still learning, and this was one of the caution notes with AGMs due to the low internal resistance.

OK, "very similar SOC" excludes one bad cell in a bank. A dead cell is an issue regardless if you have one battery or a bank of eight in parallel. Large off-grid battery systems may have many more than 8 batteries in various parallel configurations.

A dead cell does not draw current to it. Only a shorted cell will do that.

So if a lithium battery, even in parallel with others, sees a "dead" [shorted or open] cell, will that battery BMS see that, and cut charging or discharge?
