Converter question

I am looking to replace my converter to prevent my batteries from being cooked off. the intellipower seems to be the obvious choice but I am not certain if I am limited to the 45 amp model as a direct replacement or could I upgrade to the 60 amp for faster battery charging.
I currently have two 12v batteries and would like to upgrade them in the near future to 4 6v as I plan to add a residential fridge. Would it be wiser to get the bigger charger to support the additional capacity in the future or will the difference be negligible?

Try" Bestconverters.com". They have excellent customer service and can answer all your questions and supply the right converter for your unit. They have a toll free number and you can actually get them.

You need to only upgrade as much as your 12V wiring allows.
What gauge wire do you have now? Probably 4 gauge if I had to guess?

Since you are going to add batteries, I'ld suggest the 9280.

What you buy is dependent on the batteries, how much they can safely accept and what you will be plugged into and using at the same time.

Aim for 20-25% of your battery amp hour capacity IF you have wet cells. You can double that if you have AGM's.

I tend to agree that the wiring is the limiting factor however, I am thinking I am going to relocate the converter/charger to the compartment next to the batteries. Heavy gauge battery cable is expensive while romex is cheap.

As this is an older coach I do not plan on investing to much into it as I plan to buy a newer coach when my girls go to college (about 3 years).
It seems intellipower has options for 45, 60 and 80 amps. I will definitely be using wet cells.
Hope this clarifies some of the factors.

I would go 60ADC. 80ADC and you need a 20AAC 120V breaker and outlet and wiring. 60ADC is plenty for the size of your coach, the batteries, and your usage I think.

Ditto on that, or even larger.. (Largest 9200 made).

Progressive Industries 9200. there is only one way to make it better, and that is to install the optional dongle. However that said, unless you need the ability to change modes manually. There simply is nothing better than an IntellaPower 9200.

There are more expensive
There are some that come close and at least one that is as good (Less you install the dongle) but none better.
