Need wiring help
I just got done installing my MSH 3012 in my RV. I started with a 12v test and everything worked.
Next I turned on the inverter to test those circuits. When I turned the power on to the microwave only, the clock would come on for few seconds then shut off and repeat that cycle. If I turned on any other source, including the LED lights under the couch (120v) on then it would stay on. Tested a heat gun on both high and low and functioned fine.
My next test was to plug in shore power and test everything and here is where things fell apart. I got no power at all. So I took the tester to it.
I have 120v at the transfer switch on on the shore line connection on L1/N and L2/N. I also have 120v (L1/N and L2/N) at the transfer switch where the line runs to the breaker box. I have 120v on L2 at the 50 amp breaker.
Things change at the Main Power box. I have 120v on L1 and the isolated shore N. I also have 120v on L1 with isolated inverter N. On L2 and the isolated inverter N I get nothing.
I will go trouble shoot tomorrow, but does anyone have a good place to start? I thought I double checked all my work, but apparently I got something crossed somewhere.
I have included a diagram of how I intended to wire.

As far as your wiring, that's on you to follow the power.
With the Microwave, the inverter sits in seek, or sleep mode, sending out a shot of power every few seconds. If it detects a load, it switchs to invert mode.
The microwave controls are not enough draw to switch it over. If you were to open the door, the microwave light would be enough to switch it to invert..
There may be a seek mode, watt adjustment or a way to disable it, leaving it in full invert mode, but that will cause it to draw more from your batteries, when nothing is on.
I used to open the micro, set the time, close the door, and hit start before it went back to sleep.

The Magnum specs list 36 watts in invert mode. 36 watts is just under 3 amps@12.6 volts.
2.8 AH is 67 AH a day. Even 2 AH is 48 AH a day. In search mode its less then 20 AH a day.

My 3012 has been on since 4/2016 in 5w search mode which leaves it on inverting, any time that nothing is running my display will show 2a draw. Which does coincide with % usage from late evening to early morning.

Thank you.
I assumed the unit coming and on and off had to do with the search mode, however due to the wiring issue I thought it could be another cause.
I will be chasing wire again this morning, I just didn't know if there was a "likely" spot to start.

I think I was just pulling a bone head issue and did not understand the operation of this unit. It appears to be quite different then other units I have used.
With this unit it appears that I have mohave the INVERTER switch ON to even get pass though power.
If I have the inverter on, I have power on L2. If I turn it off, I lose power to L2. Does this sound like the way it should work. I could not find this specific thing in the manual.

So .....
consensus is ... wired correct? Turn off inverter when not needed?
This is what I do with Magnum MS2012.

Yes, wired correctly.
If the inverter is turned off I lose power to L2 completely, even if connected to shoreline.

Try calling tech support, maybe it can be changed thru the remote.

I thought about it and I might at some point. I boondock/off-grid or 15amp connect most of the time so having the inverter on is not a big deal. I was just concerned that something was wired wrong.
