being powersmart when operating your solar will cut down on your need to use your generator almost entirely. We only use our 3000w powerhouse for aprox. an hour a day, half hour in the morning for coffee and toaster(heating elements) and maybe a half hour at evening if we require use of an electric frying pan for something due to inclimate weather. We've got 4 six volt Batteries and a 2500 W inverter with 350 watts of solar panels and manage quite well while boondocking.
