if you’re normally towing 2,000 pounds, the electrified E.Home Coco would reduce that tow weight to about 220 pounds. Instead of needing a huge truck to pull a trailer, you could use a smaller—even an electric—vehicle

It was bound to happen as the typical personal vehicle gets less and less powerful and the advent of more strict emissions.
The military has used powered trailers in the past...the hiccup was always managing the coupler to tell the trailer drive when to push and pull the correct amount.
And, says the trailer's drive battery will be accessed for house power needs in the trailer - and can be an power source for when at home. That's forward thinking. Our primary toad is a Hybrid car that has AC in the cockpit from the drive system battery....but unlike the typical 12VDC-to-110VAC inverter it is a step-down from the 330VDC to 12VDC. Works great.
