I'm in Tucson, AZ and was thinking that this would be a good place to find a 2 6 volt batteries. I'm not looking for anything special. My only requirement is that they are sealed. I don't need AGM.

Any recommendations?

I buy my six volt batteries at Costco.

Or you can also buy them a Sam's Club! Or most all Farm Stores too!
One thing first is measure the height of your battery bay that you are planning to put them in. The GCB's are quite a bit taller than the 12 Volt battery's you are going to replace! Just a heads up! Rail!

Golf car dealers are a great source for 6 volt batteries.

If your looking at a farm store, make sure they are GC2, deep cycle batteries. They also carry 6 volt starting batteries for the old tractors that used 6 volt systems.

My understanding is only (common) sealed auto battys are either AGM or Gel which are even more expensive? Am I missing something?

If you go w FLA you can get caps that reduce any acid spill over.

You can get AGM 6v golf cart batteries, but not at Costco, and they are $$$$$$$

You can get them at Sams Club... usually about 2x FLA $. Dueacell US made by East Penn

OP - It is a bit confusing about not wanting AGM, but wanting sealed... what are you looking for? GEL? Wet (And yes, pay a bit more for water caps to make life with these, and future, batteries easier.)? - or AGM?

Tucson does have a few golf carts

! So yes it's a good location to have multiple choice if going GC2 Wet approach.

I didn't know AGM were the only ones that were sealed.

I guess I'll have to get the wet/flooded type.

There are maintenance free batteries but I've not seen them as deep cycle, 6 volt.
