Upgrading solar system

My rv has a 10w solar panel on the roof. Can I just add a larger panel or do I have to redo everything. Thinking of a 125w panel. The solar panel system was installed by the factory(winnebago). It only has a red light on the main panel to show if the panel is working. Thanks. Jack

We need to know if you have a charge controller or not. With a 10W panel, many manufacturers just consider it a trickle charge deal and don't connect it to a controller.

A 125 watt panel will put down 10 amps. You don't want that going into your battery unregulated.

If you do have an existing charge controller, I'd be surprised if it could handle 10 amps...

Bottom line - you wont need to change everything, but we need to know what that light is that indicates charge and you may have to upgrade or add a charge controller.

Trickle charger is standard fare. Adding a 125w panel is a different program . Now you are getting into recharging the house batteries and .........lots of Google stuff available. Happy times.
