In 2005, before "going green" was the politically correct thing to do, we bought a motor home and a toad which demand little fuel (relatively speaking).

We simply looked at it as economical way back then (just call us old-fashioned)!

The Winnebago View (Sprinter diesel chassis) typically gets about 14-15 MPG when pulling the toad and 16-17 MPG without the toad . . . and I don't baby it, either . . . 65 MPH is the norm for me.

The Scion xA toad gets about 33-35 MPG.

Now look at us . . . we've "gone green!"

Could you full time in our rig? . . . well, we don't and won't, but some ONE or TWO might be able to make it work.

Said the same thing to the wife the other night.

We put solar panels on the camper just because we thought it would be a great way to save money and camp out where we wouldnt have to be near campgrounds.

Now we've gone Green!

16 months on the road, and living off the Sun the whole time. If we ever go back to a normal house, it'll be all solar and wind! I cant imagine having a electric bill when there are so many other options
