MCD Innovations Appoints New President

McKinney, TX - MCD Innovations in McKinney, Texas has announced that they have appointed Matthew A. Taylor as President of the Company. As President, he will be responsible for directing and controlling the Company and all day-to-day operations. “I am very enthused with the potential I see at MCD. Facilitating and directing the explosive growth I foresee in the RV and commercial markets as well as looking at possible acquisitions or mergers will be quite exciting,” said Taylor.

Taylor has considerable operating experience having worked in large multi-national companies, family-run businesses, and private equity ventures. He began his career with Deloitte Consulting where he rose to leading the Telecom and Media Practice in Texas prior to his departure. Strategic, financial, and operations experience came through roles taken on during his career including being President and CEO of Medco Sports Medicine, Resource Satellite and Scrip Companies. Taylor’s mergers and acquisitions experience will prove to be instrumental to MCD as the Company continues to expand and grow.

Dave Townsley, founder of MCD, has chosen to limit his daily involvement and time in the office and instead focus on providing input and counsel to Taylor on new products, innovations and developments, and market strategies going forward.

“I am extremely pleased to have found someone of Matt’s caliber to lead MCD into the future and help take the Company to the next level; he will be a tremendous asset to the Company” commented Townsley. “My family and I have enjoyed taking MCD from its very humble beginnings in 2003 and growing it to where it has now become North America’s largest roller shade manufacturer”, stated Townsley. “I believe the future of our Company is very bright indeed. We expect to experience phenomenal growth in 2014 due not only to our dominance of the recovering/growing RV market but also due to the success of our commercial shade division in landing contracts with such clients as Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Staples, Advanced Auto Parts, and others.”

MCD Innovations has been engineering and producing an array of industry-leading sun protection products since 2003 in their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in McKinney, TX. All MCD products are proudly manufactured in the USA. MCD currently maintains strategic alliances with RV manufacturers of Class A, B, C, Fifth Wheels, and Travel Trailers across the US and Canada who install MCD shades as Original Equipment including Berkshire, Brookstone, Charleston, CoachHouse, Coachmen, DRV, Dynamax, Era, Excel, Featherlite, Fleetwood, Forest River, Foretravel, Heartland, Holiday Rambler, Itasca, Jayco, Leisure Travel, Keystone, Lifestyle, New Horizons, Newmar, Nexus, Palomino RV, Phoenix, Renegade, Show Hauler, Sunnybrook, Triple E, and Winnebago, among others. MCD also supplies an array of unique energy-saving and merchandising shade products to commercial markets including Staples, Advance Auto Parts, and Baskin Robbins.
