MCD Releases Plans for Elkhart Facility

PRESS RELEASE
April 20, 2012

MCD Releases Plans for Elkhart Facility

McKinney, TX – MCD Innovations announced plans today to open a regional sales office and warehouse facility in Elkhart, IN. Senior RV Market Manager Travis Townsley stated, “With the phenomenal growth MCD is experiencing in the RV roller shade market, it is time to locate a facility closer to where most of the RVs are manufactured. This will allow the company to respond quickly to the needs of the OEMs and assist with the introduction and development of even more innovative product lines.”

MCD is currently conducting interviews for a Regional Manager to head up this new facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in the RV industry with a focus on OEM sales and customer support. This person will work directly with the OEMs with full design, engineering, and technical support assistance from MCD’s headquarters and manufacturing campus in Texas. The individual must be skilled in technical applications and understand design constraints in the RV marketplace.

For the time being, MCD will continue to manufacture all of its shade products at its plant in McKinney, Texas, but the new facility will have capacity to warehouse emergency backup inventory for their OEM customers. “We believe in making quality products right here in the USA,” said Townsley. “Our emphasis has always been on using American-made components and American labor to produce the best shade products possible for the RVing community. ‘Manufacturing the best products in the industry’ has always been the MCD motto.” Townsley also noted, “The new Elkhart location will further enhance our position in the heart of the RV manufacturing industry and enable the Company to provide immediate support to the OEM community in meeting their window shade requirements.”

MCD Innovations has been engineering and producing an array of industry-leading sun protection products since 2003 in their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in McKinney, TX. All MCD products are proudly manufactured in the USA. The Company supplies a wide range of innovative products to numerous RV OEMs as well as an ever-growing number of Dealers and RV owners throughout the USA and Canada. MCD also supplies an array of unique energy-saving and merchandising shade products to the residential and commercial markets. For example, MCD Shades are found in over 8,000 Dunkin Donuts locations as well as in a number of other nationally-known restaurant chains.
