. -- Four years ago, Monaco RV cut about 1,400 workers and filed for bankruptcy. But since Navistar purchased the manufacturer, employment has been steadily climbing, and Monaco is now in the process of adding 250 new jobs at its factory in Wakarusa, reports WSBT-TV.
WSBT-TV reports that David BeMiller is just one of the new employees Monaco is hiring. He's worked in the RV industry nearly his entire life, but like many RV workers, has been laid off for several months.
WSBT-TV reports that in August, Monaco announced the consolidation of its Oregon factory with the factory in Wakarusa. That brought about 300 new jobs, and now the company is ramping up production and needs to add even more to the workforce.
