I have never understood why folks who don't own a house with a mortgage are required to subsidize those that do. Someone has to make up for the taxes. A deduction for a second home is just absurd. I also don't understand why single taxpayers have to subsidize other peoples kids through the additional personal exemptions. We need to eliminate all tax exemptions and lower the rates for all.

Lots of complacency on this topic. That's a real shame. I pay so much in taxes already. My coach is one of the few deductions I have left. AMT took the rest.

If I wish to argue the point that the source of that benevolence needs to be shrunk, that taxes be applied on a more equitable basis, can I then expect this handout and not be hypocritical?

While the MID for RV owners is a valid discussion, too many cannot stay on topic without making general political comments, which are not permitted by iRV2's rules and as a result we are closing this thread.
