ELKHART, IN, Aug. 19, 2005 -- The RV community has latched on to makeover madness with overwhelming enthusiasm for RV Rescue, the RV makeover event scheduled for The Rally at Daytona Beach, April 7 to 10, 2006.

The three-day event, to be televised on two segments of the RVtoday TV show, continues to seek applications from RVers with compelling stories about why their RV should receive a customized makeover at The Rally worth thousands of dollars. More than a thousand stories have been submitted since the event's introduction at the Great North American RV Rally in July. Entries will continue to be received through Nov. 15, and may be submitted through Camping World stores and the RV Rescue Web site, The RV Rescue.com

"RV Rescue has plugged into a great desire among RVers to upgrade their rigs," said Melody Rose, RV Rescue designer. "And we all know it's going to be fun to watch on TV."

Dometic is the title sponsor of RV Rescue and Camping World is the retail sponsor. Other sponsors include Roadmaster tow bars, Hydro-Life water filters, Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizers and the Celano Grill by LaSalle Bristol.

RV Rescue combines the excitement of an extreme makeover event with on-scene coverage by the RVtoday TV crew. Equally important, RV Rescue brings together the resources and dedication of a group of companies to help RVers increase their enjoyment of the RV lifestyle. The collaboration seeks ways to educate RVers about how to improve their own RVs through do-it-yourself projects; to identify trends in RV improvements that affect how people enjoy their life on the road; and to promote greater comfort and convenience in the RV lifestyle.
