RV Wreck Blocks Traffic On I-90

KHQ-Q6 NEWS

SPOKANE, WA - Lanes of I-90 in both directions were partially blocked Thursday afternoon when an RV crashed through concrete barriers near the Geiger exit.

Ever thought about how you would get out if your MH rolled onto the door side with exit windows 8 1/2 feet above the "new floor"? AND ON FIRE!

From the picture it looks almost impossible to get out...or to get in to rescue occupants.

Unless there is fire in the front, it is relatively easy to punch out the windshield to get in or out. The windshield is only glued in. Sometimes, with a roll over, the windshield will pop out itself. Kinda looks like what happened there.

The next time you se a Canadian built RV take a look at the roof. Their construction codes call for a user accessible hatch in the roof. In the event of a rollover, it would appear that this would present an accessible escape route providing you didn't get whacked by a major piece of furniture or other appliance in the event.
