I bought 3 complete double steps unit and sold one set to a friend (Frankie) here on iRV2 a couple of months ago . These products are very nice to have , I highly recommend them to everyone.
I like them so much that they are on the THOR Hurricane on both steps with the landing rubber pad also and order another complete set without the rubber pad for inside the Motorcoach one for across the bathroom door to light as you walk by in the hallway to get a drink of water or glass of wine to the kitchen . And the other for when you start to come down the steps it will light up that area as well. Real neat looking blue light.
Guess love them . I know I do.

Well, I've installed and removed at least 6 different sets of RV SureSteps on my Class A ! No kidding at least six sets. YES, the SureSteps look great BUT they all stopped working after a very short period due to water/moisture problems. The manufacturer (owner) talked to me numerous times on the phone and kept sending me revised units. End result was they all died in short order because of water/rain issues. I have a set on my rig now and they look great but no longer light. The owner of RV SureStep refunded all my $ so I have to give him credit for that. He also gave me an RV Easy leveler device he also sells. In closing let me say to avoid the pricey SureStep that has water issues.

We've had our SureSteps on for a couple months now. They do do a wonderful job of lighting up our coach steps. Since our coach porch and grab-bar handle light seem to attract bugs at night, we usually do not leave them on and the SureSteps provide gentle light to see the steps in the dark.

On the flip side:
One step quit lighting, for no apparent reason, after a short period. Then later, mysteriously, seemed to correct itself and, so far, is working as advertised.

One thing I would recommend is that SureStep have a sensor adjustment, somehow, on the units. There are times when the steps come on for no apparent reason. No one or campground critter is around and they just come on. Also, when driving at night, they come on and go off quite frequently. Passing bridge supports, guardrails, trees next to the road....all seem to set off the sensors. The vendor's claim that the lights will last all season would probably be true if they didn't light at every slight movement.

We're waiting to see how ours hold up.

On the sure steps i remove all the batteries when i get back home and put a rubber band around each six batteries and store inside the cabinets.
it lasts a lot longer . just don't forget to put the end cover back on to keep water out of them.
