The Next Generation of Monaco RV

COBURG, ORE. (June, 28, 2011) – Monaco RV, one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of recreational vehicles, held its annual Dealer Congress June 20-22 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas. Representatives from dealerships were present to experience the “Next Generation of RVs,” which showcased Monaco RV’s new, upgraded and innovative products from each of its respective brands: Monaco, Holiday Rambler and R-Vision. The three-day event also introduced dealers to Monaco RV’s new leader, William Osborne, while honoring the company’s outgoing president, Kay Toolson, in a special ceremony. Due to the resort’s close proximity to Navistar’s Garland Truck facility, attendees had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art, advanced technology plant, which gave visitors a glimpse of the vast resources available to Monaco RV as a partner with Navistar, a world-leader in transportation.

“What a tremendous feeling to get to address so many of my dear friends, both old and new, at my final Dealer Congress,” said Kay Toolson, president of Monaco RV. “Although I’m retiring after more than 40 years in the RV business, I leave my day to day duties confident that Monaco RV is in a stronger position going forward, and is certain to flourish and grow well into the future under its new leader, Bill Osborne.”

“The show was an enormous success for our company,” according to Mike Snell, senior vice president of sales and product development. “We received great feedback from dealers on all our new 2012 products, our workmanship and the fresh, bold look of the Next Generation of RVs. We also had the opportunity to share how we’re developing more differentiation between our brands, giving them a whole new look and feel, and revamping our websites to reflect these distinctions. Together with Navistar, Monaco RV is going places where no RV manufacturer has gone before.”

“What a great opportunity to share with our dealer partners the best and latest design and production strategies we’re working on to elevate every aspect of the RV experience for owners and dealers alike,” said Charlie Kimball, senior vice president of operations. “We know that quality and product innovation is at the top of our dealers’ and customers’ lists, so we’re responding with vertically-integrated RVs with advanced aerodynamics and ergonomically-designed interiors, enhanced drivability, and new diesel engines with maximum fuel economy and hassle-free operation.”

“It was an honor to attend my first Dealer Congress, and share with our dealer partners our vision for the future and the Next Generation of Monaco RV,” said William Osborne, vice president of custom products for Navistar. “The last two or three years have been difficult ones for the whole industry, but now is the time to rethink and retool for the Next Generation. We stand on a solid foundation, thanks to Kay Toolson, but moving forward we intend to do more than we ever have before, while focusing on our three core pillars : quality, customer service and product innovation.”
