Thor Motor Coach: Best Sales in Years

Elkhart, IN – Thor Motor Coach announced a substantial increase in year to date sales in comparison to the same time period last year. “Our goal is simple, to be the best, and the numbers will follow…” proudly touted Bill Fenech, President and CEO of Thor Motor Coach. “It has been quite some time since we’ve seen shipments this high. In my opinion, these numbers bring added validation to our team’s complete dedication to building the best motorhomes in the business. Although our dealers’ confidence continues to grow, we maintain cautious optimism by keeping our production levels in-line with retail demand.”

A 23% increase in sales from April 2011 over 2010 and a 36% increase in sales for the fiscal year highlight the demand for Thor Motor Coach products. Retail demand continues to rise for Thor Motor Coach diesel products with the largest surge coming from the Tuscany and Serrano brands. The Tuscany year-to-date market share is up 36%, and the Serrano has seen a 64% hike compared to last year. The newly introduced ACE has made quite the splash in the market with both the retail dealerships and new RVer’s. Rental production is helping to catapult the increased demand. TMC continues to be one of the largest suppliers of rental coaches by partnering with the top RV rental companies in the world.
