Olson says challenges remain but adds economy may finally be heading in right direction

FOREST CITY - Bob Olson knows very well that there is tough sledding ahead for the Winnebago Industries, but last week, the company's chairman of the board, CEO and president said he was encouraged by signs that the national economy may be turning itself around.

“I'm not going to sit here and say we're through the worst of it,” Olson said, “but we're starting to see some positives out there. It's obviously been a tough year, but I'm hopeful that we're coming out of this recession.”

He ticked off a list of economic stories that have brightened the national landscape.
