Thumbs down for Lazydays service.....all others at the mega dealer are ok. They do know how to take care of you when you walk in to spend $$.

Thumbs UP for La Mesa in Sanford - Great folks, service and location.....not many parts in stock....tho that seems to be the norm these days at all dealers.

Now in resent years Got to meet and work with Doug & Pat Formanic And the Olsons; I think they are consumer oriented and really try to do the right thing..We have not had that kind of Feeling from some of the others;; Life is good. And I am not affiliated with Wnwwe. JUst the facts of my Life;;

I'd sure like to know what their selection criteria were. I'm betting it is "$ale$ only" because it sure can't be "after sales service"!!!

We bought an '06 Itasca Meridian from them last October and none of our service events have been a positive experience. Our 1st was over the Norcold recall which we learned about from Winnebago thanks to having registered as "second owner". McMahon's knbow about it when they sold us the MH! Once they finally did get the retrofit kit, the MH sat there for a week before I finally lit a fire under them to get the job done NOW! Our vacation departure was scheduled for two days later. When I got the MH home and tried to cool down the fridge, it would NOT power up. On return to McMahon's, it turns out a key part of the Norcold retrofit was faulty. I guess McMahon's never checked out the fridge after installing the retrofit.

Our most recent event surfaced on our return from a week long trip when we discovered a leak under the MH which turned out to be a failed seal on the hydraulic ram for the left rear slideout. On calling McMahon's, we were told the earliest they could possibly look at it was 2 - 3 weeks out. That was just to confirm that the leak really existed and possibly order the hydraulic ram (they don't stock 'em). When I asked if I could go to another dealer since we purchased an Extended Warranty Agreement, their response was "No, the EWA requires the service to be performed only by McMahon's if we are within 100 miles of their location. Beside, no-one else will be able to see you in any less time." (I had already inquired and had been told by Mike Thompson's RV Service Dept. that they could check it out the next day if I could bring them the MH so they could confirm and get the needed parts on order.)

McMahon's MOTORIZED RV EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT is a ripoff! It cost $5K and locks you in to only McMahon's performing any needed service unless you are greater than 100 miles from their nearest location. (A fact they failed to cover when we purchsed the MH and the agreement!) It was presented as an extended warranty service agreement in case the MH should ever need service while on the road. The people you need to call before getting any service under the agreement are NOT an insurance company, only a third-party "administrator" under contract to McMahon's.

My advice to anyone considering McMahon's is to stay away from them and under no circumstances buy a TRIDENT RV Appearance Protection Plan, MYTIRE Road Hazzard Program For Motor Homes or MOTORIZED RV EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT from them. Instead, find appropriate insurance coverage from some outfit like GOOD SAMS or any other source which allows you to get the service where you want to go.

P.S. - Check the condition of the tires closely before buying a pre-owned MH from them, even if it is "low mileage". That means not just the treads. Inspect closely for sidewall cracking too on all tires. McMahon's won't bring any potential defects to your attention. Ours all needed to be replaced which I discovered after the deal was done. Chalk it up to the "school of hard knocks".
