WINNEBAGO INDUSTRIES HONORS DEALERS WITH THE PRESTIGIOUS CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

FOREST CITY, IOWA, May 15, 2008 – [b/Winnebago Industries, Inc.[/b], manufacturer of Winnebago®, Itasca® and ERA™ brand motor homes, is pleased to announce its Circle of Excellence dealerships for 2008.

Winnebago Industries established the industry's first dealer excellence program in 1986 in order to recognize select dealers for excellence in customer satisfaction. At Winnebago Industries' annual Dealer Days event in Las Vegas, Nevada, 139 dealers were honored with the Circle of Excellence award in recognition of their excellence in customer satisfaction as it relates to the customers' sales and service experience with the dealer.

"Winnebago Industries is pleased to recognize 139 outstanding dealers with this year's Circle of Excellence award,"� said Winnebago Industries Vice President of Sales and Marketing Roger Martin. "These dealerships have excelled in providing outstanding customer service before, during and after the sale. To achieve Circle of Excellence status, it is imperative for dealers to have knowledgeable sales personnel and qualified service technicians on staff, and these award winning dealerships do just that. They provide customers with the total RV experience, and for that reason, these dealers are deserving of this award."�

Circle of Excellence scoring is determined by rating dealers in four categories:
"¢ A Purchase and Delivery Satisfaction Study which is direct customer feedback after the purchase of a motor home;
"¢ A Customer Satisfaction Study which surveys customers six months after their purchase;
"¢ A Sales and Marketing Assessment that evaluates a dealership's sales, market share, stocking levels and participation in product training, Dealer Days and the Winnebago Itasca Travelers Club (WIT); and
"¢ A Service Parts Assessment that evaluates a dealership's warranty/parts inventory, service training and certified technicians, and traveling customer care.

"For the third year, Winnebago Industries has raised the standard for achieving Circle of Excellence status by increasing the minimum score required on customer satisfaction surveys,"� said Martin. "None of us get better by doing the same thing year after year. You have to raise the bar if you expect to improve."�

Dealerships earning the coveted Circle of Excellence status received an award featuring three concentric circles that symbolize the interconnected relationship between the customer, dealer and Winnebago Industries.

Amazing, I have a hard time believing that Crestview RV in Buda, TX made the list. Maybe it is because they sell a lot of motor homes for Winnebago, it sure isn't because of there customer service and/or service department. Had my MH there several times and it comes back with more problems than when it went in.

This is hard to believe: Poulsbo RV, Inc., Poulsbo (Winnebago) made this list. They told me that two windshield washer nozzels cost $45.00.

Those awards are hard to figure. KOA gave a President's Award to their franchisee in Vernal, Utah. It was awful and when I asked for a refund, the owner slammed the money on the counter. So I wrote KOA about giving this clown a "President's Award" since he didn't care about his customers Their answer, "well each campground is an independent franchisee and we can't be responsible for them." Not even, we're sorry, we'll look in to it, here's a free coupon for a night's camping so you won't hate all KOAs forever. BTW, this is not a KOA bash, just recounting an experience with one KOA and the corporate response.

And to the point, these awards are based on something, but I am not sure it is exactly the publicly stated criteria. I agree with the writer about CrestviewRV (even the sales people have avoided me. Maybe a shower would help. ) But it would be interesting to know if there are folks for each and every Circle of Excellence recipient who feel the award is in error.
