Workhorse Expands Ambassador Program
UNION CITY, Ind. "” Workhorse Custom Chassis has expanded its ambassador program to include two more motor home owners. Workhorse now has three ambassadors sharing helpful RV information with RVers at rallies and campgrounds across the country.
"We pride ourselves on being the RVer's advocate,"¯ said Bob Wert, vice president of RV sales and marketing for Workhorse. "We're vitally interested in what RVers want. The ambassador program is one important way in which we listen to them and then provide products that really meet their needs. This means that Workhorse has been and will remain on the cutting edge of chassis innovation. Also, our ambassadors are Workhorse owners who have experienced a real devotion to the brand and want to help other RVers enjoy the best possible motor home experience."¯
Chief Ambassador Mike Pelchat of Conway, S.C., has served as a Workhorse ambassador for the past year. Pelchat is a retired career firefighter from Connecticut who has been full-timing with his wife Colleen since early 2005. He has attended numerous regional Good Sam Club, FMCA and WIT (Winnebago/Itasca) Club rallies, iRV2.com national rallies and other events across the country.
Pelchat is now joined by Ed Gray and his wife Suzanne from Belle Chase, La., and Mike Tylenda and his wife Maureen from Southwick, Mass. Gray is a retired vice president and founding partner of Allied Vista Inc. and Tylenda is a retired communications technician for AT&T.
"What's great about the ambassador program is that it's one RVer talking to another,"¯ said Pelchat. "For example, when I give a rally seminar about some aspect of RVing, whether it's towing or the electrical system, people know they're getting real world answers to real world challenges."¯
"The program has been very successful in gathering information on customer driven needs and keeps Workhorse in the forefront of one-to-one consumer marketing,"¯ concluded Wert. "This year our ambassadors will have close to 200 days on the road attending regional rallies, conventions or other events on behalf of Workhorse Custom Chassis. We're proud to have these ambassadors represent us around the country."¯
