For IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UNION CITY, IN - October 24, 2005 "” Workhorse Custom Chassis puts more muscle into its popular W Series gas platform by introducing a new, limited-edition super sport chassis option available for 2006 models. The new platform went into production in July.

The SSC option brings a whole new "muscle-car" experience to the Vortec-powered chassis. Its stainless-steel tuned headers improve the GM Big Block engine's exhaust flow, lowering back pressure and increasing performance. The 8.1L engine has always been a leader in gasoline motor home performance. Now, new data shows the Workhorse chassis owns an even more superior advantage over its competition.

"Recently released test data shows that our standard chassis still has significant performance advantages over the new Ford. We're introducing the SSC to widen the gap between us and the competition," said Bob Wert, vice president of sales, marketing and product planning for Workhorse. "We became accustomed to out-performing the others. Now, we are out-performing ourselves."

For instance, the new SSC can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 25.4 seconds. That would put you ahead of the top-performing standard Workhorse chassis by a half a football field. When pulling out into traffic that's a huge advantage over any other motor home.

But that's just the beginning of this new "sport" option. Workhorse has enhanced the suspension with a rear track bar along with performance-tuned Bilstein® shocks to further boost the superior handling of the W Series platform. This means it performs and handles more like a sports car than you ever thought a motor home chassis could.

Drivers will immediately know they are in a muscle motor home when they sit behind the wheel. Staring back at them is a deluxe instrument panel that can track transmission temperature, manifold intake pressure and engine intake air temperature. Ready for takeoff!

When RV owners are looking for a chassis with attitude, this is it. The Workhorse SSC option is easy to spot. Dual chrome exhaust tips, SSC coach decals and a pair of exclusive owner jackets broadcast the bragging rights of this chassis all over the campgrounds.

"We've got a package that's sure to turn heads wherever it goes," said Wert. "For RVers who want to take their driving experience to the next level, this is it. We've put the sport into driving a motor home."

This chassis is approved by General Motors and Allison and carries a full warranty on all components. The chassis is available to all manufacturers, and motor home buyers are encouraged to request the SSC package when ordering from their dealers. The platform is a limited edition and is expected to be in hot demand.

The suggested retail price of the SSC package is $3,579 to the motor home buyer. "We've always maintained our commitment to be the customer's advocate to the RV industry. The SSC continues that strong tradition by pushing the envelope of chassis performance," said Wert. "Included in that commitment is the fact that we will not compromise product content in exchange for lower cost."

Better performance, greater power, more chrome. Workhorse's SSC is what a muscle motor home platform should be.

Specializing in the manufacture of chassis for motor homes, walk-in trucks and buses, as well as integrated walk-in trucks, Workhorse Custom Chassis is ISO 9001 certified and considered a leader in the motor home and walk-in truck industries. Just a little note:

A Ford motorhome set up by Gale Banks holds the motorhome speed record.

I'll have to check with the Banks web site. It was a Class "C" I think.

Ok: It was a Chinook (sp?), I think that is a Class C. The speed was 99.7MPH. Banks also holds the speed record for a pickup truck. It was a deisel! No, I don't know the speed.
