FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 16, 2007, Union Gap, WA -- Western Recreational Vehicles, Inc., (WRV) the Washington-based manufacturer of premium Motor Coaches, Fifth Wheels and Slide in Truck Campers, has temporarily suspended manufacturing operations. This decision was necessary due to the current slow down in RV sales.
Due to the weakness in the current RV market, it has become increasingly difficult to continue operations. During this short break in manufacturing, Western RV will review our alternatives and determine the best course of action going forward. Once a plan has been developed or a suitable buyer for the business is identified we intend to resume normal manufacturing operations.
If you would like more information on this topic, please contact Bob Wert of WRV at 1-800-888-4133.

Larry -
Curious who your friend talked with, they have been the only company that seems to have been doing good. Thanks.

This is the way it went. My friend that we winter with has a Allegro bus. Her friend called to tell what I said as they were at the factory. I just tried to make the message amaller. This doesn't mean much but sales have to be down with what's going on with fuel and jobs. chevman

I have nothing to support what I heard. Probably just more BS regarding the MH industry. Howerever, I have been told by several people that Thor industries is doing well, amidst all this bad talk.
Again, maybe just more scuttlebutt.

I attended Camp Freightliner in Gaffney, SC 2 weeks ago and the President of FCCC told us that Alfa was out of business and they were in the process of picking up 20 Alfa RV that had Freightliner chassis that were not payed for. they will bring them back to the Freightliner factory in Gaffney and put them up for sale. I'm sure they will be a bargin, financially anyway. They also have a Tiffin Phaton for sale there.

Dumping as it is called I understand isn't very well received at all By the OEMs that are just trying to get by day to day.

Could be worse!
Giving a company a new bald chassis and then getting it back as a complete new motorhome does'nt sound too bad.
