We are new to the forum and before buying this rig we asked a lot of questions. We want to full time and are 2-3 years away from realizing our dream which we have had for the last 20 years.
We have 6 grandkids and are looking forward to taking them on trips also. Maybe we will take their parents....if they are good.
Looking forward to getting to know you all more. Happy Trails
Larry & Vicky

Don't be afraid to ask questions. There is no one here smarter than all of us together.

Thank you. I will. My biggest fear is turning on a street or into a business i can't fit into and have to back out or something?
When your are pulling a 5er you are just drivng a big truck with a trailer. This is a huge BUS and it I seems weird (BIG).
I will just have to jump in and get the feel of thing.
Happy Trials.
Larry

If you get into a situation like that, just hope you have someone with you to help you back out. I've only had mine on two trip and a couple short trips in town. Watch your mirrors and you will get used to it in no time.
Driving a 5er is like towing a trailer without the tail wagging the dog. That stable.
When making a right turn, on a 4 lane road, take up both lanes, just like an 18 wheeler. They'll get over it. I did it right in front of a cop and he didn't do anything but wait for me to turn.

Great looking rig. I went from a 5vr to a 40' foot last summer and have loved every minute of it. I just wish my wife had the confidence to drive it so I could enjoy the amenities too.

I had one just like yours but it was 37 feet. Even same color. I had the Cat C7. Nice unit and ran great. Enjoy!

Xjaywalker, at the top of this forum is a thread on driving school. It is the best presentation I have ever seen on driving and parking a large motorhome. Study every section carefully and then practice the moves in a large open parking lot. Bring traffic cones or something to use as markers, then practice until it becomes secound nature to turn and park properly. Enjoy your new venture! DACOTAH
